URAN-3S: Fire protection for oil and gas facilities

URAN-3S

The structural fire protection composition URAN-3S is designed to enhance the fire resistance rating of load-bearing and enclosing metal and concrete structures in industrial and civil facilities within the fields of exploration, processing, transportation, and storage of oil products, natural gas, chemicals, nuclear energy, and related facilities. This is aimed at achieving a specified level of fire resistance.
The fire protection composition URAN-3S has undergone testing at the center of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "All-Russian Research Institute for Fire Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia" where the product's properties were confirmed as effective in protecting steel structures in the event of hydrocarbon fires.

CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Coating color: From light gray to light beige.

Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions

What is structural fire protection?
Structural fire protection is a set of measures and materials aimed at enhancing the resistance of building structures to high temperatures in the event of a fire. It involves the use of special fire-resistant coatings, materials, and structural solutions to prevent or delay the spread of fire, ensuring the safety of buildings and structures.
What types of fire-retardant materials exist?
Fire-retardant materials can include intumescent coatings, fire-resistant paints, polyurethane foams, fire-resistant gypsum boards, as well as special fire-resistant coatings and cladding materials. These materials are used to reduce the spread of fire, prevent its penetration into structures, and enhance the fire resistance of buildings and structures.
What is the fire-retardant limit?
Fire-retardant limit is the time interval during which building structures or materials can withstand high temperatures and flame exposure while maintaining their structural integrity. It is measured in minutes and is a crucial parameter in evaluating the fire safety of buildings. A higher fire resistance rating provides additional time for evacuation and firefighting efforts.
